Born in 2005 José loves asking questions about everything. He enjoys exploring the "world" of the Por Los Niños village. He is a good big brother to Andy and Carlos. José is always wearing a smile. BioJosé and his siblings Andy and Carlos were admitted into Por Los Niños in June of 2009. They were appointed to the village by an order from a court judge. They were living with their mother who has 3 additional children that are older. She is a single mother and was unable to support all 6 children. They were all homeless and living in a borrowed adobe house without a roof or floor. They were all sharing one bed and had no electricity or sanitary facilities. They were drinking water from a faucet behind the house. When José came to Por Los Niños he weighed 33 pounds (four 1/2 years old). He was malnourished and had parasites. Today he is a curious, healthy and joyful little boy. He loves to try out new words and make new friends. |

Did you know....We now have four homes, an onsite Christian elementary school, and we hope to soon realize our goal of six cottages?
