Born in 1989

Emelina is an asset to the Por Los Niños village. She is reliable, friendly and has a gentle-spirit that is perfect for peacemaking with the children. The house parents trust and rely upon Emelina whenever they need extra help with any of the children.

Bio

In 1996, a visiting medical team discovered Emelina abandoned by her parents and near death in a remote mountain village. She was taken to a hospital in Juticalpa. Emelina joined Por Los Niños once she was nursed back to health.

Emelina is a Pech Indian and had to learn Spanish upon coming to PLN. She is very bright and studies Pre-Law at a college in Juticalpa. She loves making friends and getting to know people on a deeper level.

Emelina is very confident and sure of herself. She has many talents, but one of her most memorable traits is her sincerity. You can tell that when Emelina cares about a person or thing, she cares with her entire heart.
